Tigre-ADS: the most advanced name for water management solutions

Using corrugated tubes of high density polyethylene in drainage works is much more advantageous than concrete.

n this video produced by Tigre-ADS, you can see the installation of approximately 60 meters of polyethylene pipes (HDPE) and 60 meters of reinforced concrete pipe. As the polyethylene pipe is light and easy to use, its installation is at least twice as fast as that of concrete.

The economy still starts with delivery. Most deliveries are made with bulk or dry cargo carts, which allow easy unloading of the polyethylene pipe, while the concrete pipe usually requires heavy equipment and more time for unloading.

The economy continues in the installation. When placing polyethylene pipes in the ditch, the number of pipe segments to be handled is about 60% less, which considerably speeds up the process.

All polyethylene tubes are produced with the tip and bag fitting system, with gaskets installed at the factory. This avoids the installation of rubber joints in the pipes or the use of mortar.

The width of the ditch and the digging, filling and compacting times are similar for the installation of polyethylene and concrete pipes.

Both need to be placed on a stable base, compacted in layers and filled to the full extent to ensure a durable and quality installation.

In the project presented in this video, the installation of 60 meters of polyethylene pipes lasted only two hours, while the installation of 60 meters of concrete pipes took four hours. Watch the video and see why HDPE tubes are the best solution for safe, efficient and economical works.
