About the product
The Water Quality Unit "WQU" of Tigre-ADS, are developed based on DrenPro Infra pipes made of HDPE or PEAD, a product that complies with the international standard AASHTO M294. This system collects during the first storm or rain the particles of earth, sand, leaves, papers, oils and all elements that can be dragged gravitationally to the rainwater or rainwater collectors.
This product collects a large volume of water and its decanter operation is intended to separate suspended pollutants or large granular materials, which are gravitationally transported by the water to the collectors.
UCA has an entrance in the upper part (spine) and its function is to facilitate access to the camera for a man of common build, whose purpose is to carry out maintenance and cleaning work ensuring continuity of operation over time. A secondary tube prevents the floating of pollutants already captured in previous storms.

The Water Quality Unit was designed using the fundamental principles of Stoke's Law and a standard control port outlet. The sedimentation rate of a particle is calculated based on the smallest particle to be removed. The units offer a standard option to remove sieve size 140 or 200 (particle size 106μ and 75μ, respectively).
The outlet port is sized to release a typical first flush discharge and redirect any excess flow to a bypass tube system installed with the unit. All ADS Water Quality units are designed and manufactured to meet the specifications of ASTM F2737 for the Quality of High Density Polyethylene Corrugated Water Units (HDPE).
The installation of the Water Quality Units follows the same accepted practices for the installation of large diameter hoses.
